If there was one word to define this wonderful place, then I would say impeccable! A place made with love, taste of art, and great attention to detail with high quality. Accordion played by a master cherishes the place with harmony accompanied by the savory food in a nostalgic ambiance. Artworks hanging on the walls, and historic decorations makes the restaurant a unique entertaining experience. Food highlights: Cabbage dolma, yaprak ciğer(oven baked liver), and çerkez tavuk(cold appetizer made of pulled chicken) are top three dishes that I can highly recommend. To be honest, I had some doubts about the general food quality before I visited Jash for the second time. At the first time, Jash’s food was not that great. I can’t say anything negative besides maybe one thing: the bread. Bread options may be a bit wider and better in quality. That’s all. Yesterday, we, as a group of 10 people enjoyed the evening very much. I’m very thankful for the service and a shoutout to the owner who hosted us so well. The gem of Cihangir neighborhood! Overall ratin 4.6/5 for an Authentic Ethnic Restaurant

Food was meh. The portions were small and the taste is not something I would want to taste again. But what really made me write this review is the fact that we were scammed. The waiter brought the bill and he aas acting weird (not wanting us to see the details of the bill and so forth). After paying the bill, we realized the total was a bit too much than what we expected. When we got home, we opened their menu and counted our total. We realized we were scammed about 200tl. Worst part is. When we went back to confront them about the matter, they refused to show us the bill and claimed they took less than what we were saying, and that the amout taken was on my banks fault and not theirs Avoid this place at all costs. The owner is the devil itself. She looks like a scammer too.

Found this place by accident when walking. Staff were very friendly and kind. Food was delicious, we had lamb chops and chicken stew. It kind of reminded me of classic french style cooking with istanbul ingredients. Very high quality. Interior was very nice and local cat was great.

The cafe is very cozy and stylish, one of the most beautiful places here! The lamb chops was amazing, it comes with vegetables and very tasty potato gratin. Dessert quince (ayva) was also very tasty and big! I didn’t ask but the waiter brought water and charge 12TL in bill for the water. So if you don’t want water say it before. Also it was kuver in the bill and it means service (10%). So service is included.

Jash (food in Armenian) is super old school. All the food items are extremely traditional. The recipes are very well kept from owner's family. I believe this is the best Armenian food/dinner place in Istanbul. There is a little bit of live music every night which is super cozy. Our service was excellent, we tried almost everything that is traditional on the menu :). Our favorite was "Dalak dolmasi"

Warm snacks were 4 of 5, delicious. But the main course disappointed us. Salmon steaks were just 3 of 5: it was dry and with lots of bones. Well, we were totally surprised by getting so many bones in fillet steak. The place itself is quite cozy and the service was quite fast and nice. We paid 2100try for 3 starters, 4 main courses, and soft drinks.

Visited Jash 3 years ago as I live here and I went when my family came to visit from abroad. It seems like a hidden gem at first. Location wise it is very small but easy to get to. Few things need to be pointed out. The ambience does not feel very welcoming when to comes to the staff welcoming you inside the place. It feels as though there is a certain clientele they want within the restaurant and it does not feel welcoming at all. I went last week with my mom and dad going in immediately the entrance is almost invisible as they are just trying to fit as many table as possible. The waiter did not even say hi and immediately said we needed a reservation. He showered us a table the fit 2 people and we were three so we thanked him and asked if we could wait for any availability. He seemed unbothered and the people in the restaurant just generally give of a snobby attitude. It seemed to have been more humble a few years ago or we stumbled upon it on the wrong day.

Food was delicious but prices are much higher than in the menu (sometimes about 90%), the tip was counted without any information before, you pay for water which is served even if you don't ask for one.
